Do you provide service in my area?
Please send us an inquiry with your full address where you’re looking for service. But what if it’s a new build or it doesn’t map properly? Don’t worry, just send us the latitude and longitude. We can still run our analysis.
Are you a satellite company? Will I experience high latency?
We are not satellite, we’re an air fiber technology. Think of it like cell phones and how your phone receives a signal from a nearby tower. We have access points throughout northwestern Vermont and northeastern New York. Gamers, you don’t need to worry about latency.
Where are you located?
We’re located near downtown St. Albans. You can find us at 362 S. Main Street, St. Albans, VT 05478.
What does a typical installation look like?
A technician will arrive to your location and test for signal. Once the tech has determined the best location to receive the signal they will talk it over with you to get the final approval. From there they will install a small dish (typically 1 foot in diameter) on your home then run a shielded outdoor-rated Ethernet cable from the dish into the home that will connect to your wireless router. Installations typically last between 2 to 3 hours.
Do you provide routers?
We do have them available for a one-time fee. We offer a basic 2.4 GHz router and a dual-band router that can also be used as an extender. The router would be yours to keep and we would be able to access your router remotely for troubleshooting and updates as needed. You are not obligated to purchase a router from us. You are more than welcome to use your own. However, we will not be able to service your own router.
How do I contact you after hours?
You can always call us at (802) 764-1304 and leave a voicemail with your name, address, reason for calling, and best contact number OR you can email us at support@surfglobal.net with the same information. We have a technician who monitors both inboxes after business hours and on the weekends.
What will my bill look like with taxes and fees?
What you see is what you pay. We don’t have any hidden fees or taxes. If you sign up for the 10 Mbps at $29.95 per month, that’s what you’ll pay. No nickel-and-dime-ing here!
Is there a contract?
Yes, we have a one year commitment at all new locations. After the one year has been completed you are month to month. Your monthly price will NOT increase.
Is there a startup fee?
We do have a one-time installation fee. Please contact the office for more information.
When will I be billed?
The day you get installed is the day you will be billed each month. For example, if you get installed on November 17th then your next invoice will come out on December 17th. We do not pro-rate, we are a pre-paid service. This means you pay for the month upfront. We do not bill based on usage.
What if I need to cancel?
To close out your account you will need to return all of our equipment at your home back to our office in St. Albans. Please call into the office during business hours so a technician can go over what is needed back and the day the equipment is due back to avoid further charges.
Are you a new provider?

Do you provide email service?
Yes we do! A major benefit to using our email service is that we don’t sell your information to other parties. Your security is very important to us.
